Martin Crawford is the founder of Martial Fitness and Chief Instructor of Kokoro Karate Dobu in Australia.
He has successfully represented Australia at an international level and has trained under many world recognised instructors such as:
Sensei Tommy Morris 8th Dan of Scotland and Chief Instructor of Kobe Osaka International. Sensei Kimura 8th Dan of Japan, Chief Instructor of Shukokai Karate. Sensei Steven Morris 5th Dan, British and World Kata Champion.
He also has trained with Chuck Miller - Command Master Chief of the US Navy Seal Fire team.
The What, How, Why & When of the Martial Fitness Philosophy
In the early 90's, Martin was involved in a bad car accident severely damaging his lower back and left knee. Forced to favour his right leg in tournaments, it soon became overworked and buckled under the pressure.
Weight problems followed and Martin's general health and fitness plummeted. Surgery and countless visits to doctors and specialists were fruitless. In desperation and equipped with the knowledge that 10 years at the top of the Karate World had given him, Martin devised his own rehabilitation program.
Martin developed a series of exercises based on Karate movements designed to build up the joints around the knee, the ligaments, the tendons and to strengthen the lower back that proved to be highly effective.
Within 12 months, Martin had fully recovered. He found his rehabilitation program had not only strengthened his knees and lower back, it also sharpened his reflexes and gave him more agility, more speed and more stamina.
Over the past 7 years Martin has worked to fine-tune this program many times and refined to the point where it is now a total fitness regime.
Now Martin has decided to share his secret with the world, producing Martial Fitness on video, enabling everyone to benefit from this unique program.
